Preparing for Bliss- Jashana Kippert

What keeps s from merging in Bliss into Dance Ecstasy? Each of us, individually and then collectively, have certain mechanisms in place that sop us from having too much fun. Some of these are unique to our upbringing and others are generational. Through a series of exercises, we will examine and playfully push our "limits". This class requires a willingness to take responsibility for your experience and will challenge some old cherished beliefs. For adults only.

Jashana's background is an eclectic mix of spiritual and academic studies. >From receiving a M.A. in Social Ecology to living in the Findhorn Community. Contact Improvisation with Craig Schwartz and Jeffrey Nash

Conference Hall A contact improv workshop helping people to find how EASY it can be to support other dancers or be supported by other dancers (lifts, rides, and flying). We will focus on understanding and "experiencing" the body structure (bones) in relationship to the support of the earth. In this was people can let the earth do the work while while they themselves stay relaxed during lifting interactions of a dance. We will also explore the uses of momentum as a part of a contact dance. All of these explorations will be built on a foundation awareness of, and connection with, the dance partner, to establish a sense of "oneness" (two bodies, or more, interacting as if they were one body) to deepen the trust, knowledge and safety within a contact dance.

Craig Schwartz has been in passionate affair with Contact Improvisation since 1990. His movement roots are in Continuum, and he currently studies with Camille Maurine's Moving Theatre. Craig offers Evolutionary Astrology counseling in the style of Steven Forrest, with whom he apprentices twice a year. He's also a certified Ipsalu Tantra teacher.

Jeffrey Nash has been studying dance and body mechanics for nearly 20 years and teaching Contact Improv. for 15. He joined the Carol Soloman Dance Co. to teach them Contact and stayed and performed with them in Europe. He just finished teaching a class series on lifts and flying at the Sunday Contact Jam at Dance Home.

Fumbling Towards Ecstasy presents: Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms with Jo Cobbett and Micheal Skelton

We surrender to our spirits through Magical music into a Flowing reverence to the Goddess... define our boundaries through Staccato... We empower our wholeness in Chaos... and embrace our child wonder in Lyrical Joy... finding deep within ourselves a well of forgiveness in Stillness. In a safe circle of family, a prayer playground, you may surrender to that which arises from within... living and dancing in the moment. Following your breath past the armored layers of mind that block your creative spirit. This is an exploration, a guided journey together, exploring breath, becoming fascinated with our bodies, our movements, our dance , our relationships to self, others, and the tribe. This is movement as a spiritual practice. It can be the most fun you have ever had, and it can bring up a flood of other emotions equally easily.

Tantric Puja Ritual with Robert Frey MA

The Puja Ritual consists of a series of short guided exercises, changing partners for each exercise. There are two circles -- an inner and an outer circle, one of men and the other of women. Once of these circles rotates while the other remains as a "station". Thus with the rotation, men and women shift to new partners. The guided exercises are accompanied by special music and instructions, and choices are given so that people can choose how close they want to be with each new partner. The exercises are gentle and loving, and emphasis is given to safety and honoring of boundaries.

Robert Frey, (MA, PhD candidate in Psychology) has been teaching various forms of Sacred Tantra and Sacred Sexuality for 22 years. He has been leading pujas for many years and is considered one of the best puja guides. He is internationally known as one of the best Tantra teachers in the West.
