Fall 2001 Dance Camp at Camp Max Straus

Greetings Dance Community Friends.
SCDC has decided to lower the fees for Fall Dance Camp 2001!
We've decided to:
- Offer camp to everyone at the lower (early registration) rates.
- Open camp to anyone who prefers to come for one or two days

** Rate Regular Low Income Student
** 3-day $235 $205 $145
** 2-day $180 $145 $105
** 1-day $95
(Low Income Qualification: An adult making less than $15,000)
The two-day rate includes all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday
lunch and overnight accommodations. The one-day rate includes breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday
or Saturday, without overnight accommodations.

It seems there has been some confusion about our policy
for one-day attendance at our upcoming dance camp. We hope this message will clear things up.
The one-day rate of $95 entitles participants to three
consecutive meals and shared accommodations for one night. It entitles them to participate in
all activities over a 24-hour period. Assuming space is available, persons coming for a single
day can arrive Thursday after 3:30 p.m., anytime Friday, or at any time BEFORE 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY ARRIVALS AFTER 1:30 P.M. ON
SATURDAY, as we hope to create a cohesive sense of community by Saturday night's Trance Dance
and latecomers may not have time to gel with the group. So if you wish to participate on Saturday
night, the latest you can arrive at camp is 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. (We'd hate to have folks show
up later, only to be sent away.)
Also, please understand that we cannot guarantee that
any spaces will be available for persons who do not register in advance. If you plan to attend
camp, whether for 3 days, 2 days or one day, and you have not pre-registered, please contact Mitchell
Tsai immediately at mitchell@dotcomdirector.com or 310-557-2301. Only by pre-registering can you
be assured of a space. Spaces that remain available after camp begins will be released on a first-come,
first-served basis.

Due to the release of our camp flyers around September 11 and the general
chaos and uncertainty of that time, many people told us that, while they wanted to attend camp, they
were reluctant to make commitments of time or money. Then the early fee deadline passed, and the prices
went up. We want to make it possible for everyone to afford camp, and we request your help in getting
out the word.
Please tell friends that we have about 50 spaces left, and we'd like
to fill the camp with an enthusiastic group of 180 people.
This is a volunteer-produced community event and we've had enough early
registrations to pay for most of our expenses, so we'd like to make it possible for everyone to enjoy
this wonderful community dance experience.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any type of financial
assistance. David Daunch (323-939-9404, Engrminc@aol.com) is managing a work-exchange program that
is easy on the workers(We want EVERYONE to have fun at camp).
